Team Maryland (U16 American) Clinches Top Playoff Seed

Team Maryland (U 16 American) swept the New Jersey Titans over the weekend, which secured first place for the regular season and the top seed going into the playoffs. Team Maryland beat the Titans 4-2, 2-0, and 10-0 respectively.

Goalies Alex Emam and Trevor Ziffer combined for a total of 34 Saves over the weekend while only allowing 2 goals for an SV% of .944. Team Maryland really put the nail in the coffin against the Titans during their 10-0 shutout. Riley Crowson and Kyle Radimer led the high-octane offense with a pair of hat tricks. Team Maryland’s dominating performances over the weekend illustrated exactly why this team has been so successful this year.

“This really is a special group,” said Team Maryland (U16 American Head Coach Matt Reid. “The team has made so much progress this year and they are just scratching the surface of what they are capable of. I’m excited to keep the players focused to keep this momentum going into the playoffs.”
