Nine Team Maryland Standouts Selected to the ECEL All-Star Game

By TM Staff, 12/08/17, 12:45AM EST

This weekend kicks off the Holiday Classic of the East Coast Elite league.  Team Maryland’s U16 & U18 teams are both members.  Both team are finding success early in the ECEL.  The 18’s are 4-2 and currently sitting in 3rd place while the 16’s are 2-1 currently in 6th but have played four less games that the rest of the pack.  While everyone is excited to take home four wins in Connecticut this weekend, some of our boys first have their eyes set on the ECEL All-Star game.  The game will feature some of the best players in both divisions on Friday the 8th and take place at the storied Ingalls Arena at Yale University.

Team Maryland will be well represented at the All-Star event with nine total players and a coach involved.  The selection process is quite exciting.  The ECEL selects coaches to represent two teams per age group.  From there, the coaches pick their teams through a draft.  The catch is, players can be selected to either team.  So, you will see players competing against each other at the All-Star game that are teammates during the year.  Coach Christopher Ceransky was selected to coach a team at both levels.

“It an honor to be a part of the league All-Star game for second straight year,” Coach Ceransky commented, “It was a great experience for the boys last year.  At that age, you are always excited for another opportunity to impress scouts, compete against the best possible competition, and I think deep down the boys are looking forward to playing against some of their Team Maryland teammates.  It should be fun all around and give our young man and outstanding chance to showcase their talent to the college and junior scouts.”

Listed below are the Team Maryland players selected to participate in this year’s game:
