Team Maryland Peewee Majors to Attend 61st Annual International Peewee Quebec Tournament

For the fourth consecutive year, Team Maryland will attend the most prestigious youth hockey tournament in the world, International Peewee Quebec. Team Maryland Peewee Majors are in the highest division of the tournament with teams such as; Slovakia Stars, New York Rangers, and Detroit Honeybaked, representing the best 2007 players from all over the US, Canada, and Internationally.

Team Maryland Peewee Majors are having a very successful season.  They currently are ranked Top-15 Nationally and sit 2nd in the AYHL at 22-3-3 with a +125 goal differential. 

The team will arrive in Quebec over Thursday and Friday.  They will have two exhibition games against the Quebec Nordiques and Detroit Jr. Red Wings over the weekend to prepare for their first official tournament game. 

Team Maryland opens tournament play in the 17,000 seat Pepsi Colisee against the New England Prospects at 8:00am.  Depending on the result of the game, Team Maryland will be placed into one of two brackets.  After the first game, it’s a single elimination tournament.
