The TM Bantam Major (2003) team picked up its first AYHL win of the season Saturday evening with a 5-3 win over National Division opponent the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers. Daniel Tomashevsky got TM started with two goals from the point over the glove hand of Jr. Flyers goaltender Jacob Stern. Tomashevsky—who was awarded the coveted “golden stick” after the game—just missed the natural hat trick when he rang a shot off both posts. Ethan Ouyang scored at the end of the second period sending TM into the third with a 3-2 lead. In the third, AJ Maner book-ended one goal from the Jr. Flyers for the 5-3 win. Quinn Kennedy tallied three assists on the evening and goaltender Austin Zavoda backstopped the victory with 16 saves.
